What Advice Would You Give…

Friday, September 26th, 2008

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in the work world?  How could you make your advice timeless if you knew they wouldn’t make use of it until the year 2026?

Sheryl Roush — the author of a series of books about women, including Heart of a Woman — asked me to write something for her newest book, Heart of a Woman in Business.  I decided that I wanted to write some advice to my nieces, Marlo and Jada, but they’re only four years’ old!  How could I write something that would still be applicable to them when they graduate college (I hope), in the far-off year of 2026?  And, of course, applicable to women in business now?

Time passes.  The year 2026 will come, ready or not.  There’s a line in a John Malkovich movie, ”In the Line of Fire” where his character says, ”We plan for the next quarter.  The Japanese plan for the next quarter century.”

Want to read my advice?  The book is available for $16.95 at www.HeartBookSeries.com and it is filled with useful advice, help and caring support for women in business.  It would make a great gift for you and for the women in your life.  By the way, the first edition sold out almost instantaneously.

Congratulations to Sheryl Roush for giving readers the kind of information and support that makes a real difference in their lives.
